Which terminal does your ticket actually name?
| Ticket or sign | Where to head | Important distinction |
|---|---|---|
| 서울경부 / Seoul Gyeongbu, 경부·영동 | Seoul Express Bus Terminal | Not the Central City departure hall |
| 센트럴시티 / Central City, 호남 | Central City Terminal | Same subway station, different hall |
| 동서울 / Dong Seoul | Recheck your route to Gangbyeon Station | Not this terminal complex |
| 서울남부 / Seoul Nambu | Recheck your route to Nambu Bus Terminal Station | Also a separate terminal |
The Korea Tourism Organization’s terminal guide distinguishes these terminals. Do not infer the building from the destination alone: the same city can have services from more than one terminal. Use the departure name printed on your booking.
Station layout: exits, levels and elevators
These Seoul Metro diagrams show the Line 3 and Line 7 areas and the connection to Line 9. Line 9 platforms are on B5, below the Line 3 and Line 7 platforms on B3. The bus boarding bays are separate: check your terminal name after leaving the subway.
Line 3
Line 7
These are the maps in Seoul Metro’s 2026-08-24 release, not a live floor plan. “You are here” marks the original sign location, not your phone. Printed train times and phone numbers may be older; use current operator information and follow station signs. In an emergency, follow staff instructions.
Central City address and a usable map
For Central City / 센트럴시티터미널, save 서울특별시 서초구 신반포로 176. Open the address in NAVER Map or the operator’s terminal floor map. The latter shows the terminal interior; a generic pin for the subway station does not locate your boarding bay.
For Seoul Gyeongbu, search 서울고속버스터미널 경부 영동 and match it to your ticket. Do not use Central City’s address as a universal taxi destination. At the station, follow the named terminal signs before choosing a street exit. A shopping passage is not itself a bus departure hall.
Lines 3, 7 and 9: allow for the walk
고속터미널역 / Express Bus Terminal Station serves Lines 3, 7 and 9. A journey planner’s arrival time at the platform is not the time you reach your bus. Leave a walking buffer for the concourse, finding the hall and checking the bay; allow more with children or luggage.
If your route uses Line 9, check the destination and the local/express stopping pattern shown for that train. For a flight connection, build the route to the correct Gimpo terminal, not simply to a station with “Airport” in its name.
Check the bay before stopping for food
Have the travel date, departure time, destination, operator and seat visible together. Match the ticket to the departure board; if anything differs, ask the counter before waiting at a bay. A payment receipt is not necessarily the boarding ticket—follow your seller’s issue or exchange instructions.
Find your departure area first, then decide whether there is time to eat. Use the toilet before boarding and keep essential documents, medication and valuables in your hand luggage. If your bus has already departed, ask about the ticket’s change or refund rules rather than boarding the next bus with the old ticket.
Bags and step-free routes
For an elevator route, show staff the terminal name as well as your need for a lift. The shortest stairs-based route may not be the easiest with a suitcase. If leaving bags in a locker, record its exact location and check retrieval hours; do not assume a shop’s hours and a locker’s access hours are the same.
For a meeting point, send a photo of a sign in the correct departure hall. “At the terminal” leaves too many possible locations.
Lost property and useful calls
| Where to ask | Phone in Korea |
|---|---|
| Line 3 · Chungmuro lost-property centre | 02-6110-3344 |
| Line 7 · Taereung lost-property centre | 02-6311-6766 |
| Line 9 · Dongjak lost-property centre | 02-2656-0999 |
| Central City general information | 02-6282-0114 |
Metro 3/7 centres list weekdays 09:00–18:00; the Line 9 Dongjak centre lists weekdays 10:00–19:00. Both exclude weekends and public holidays. Central City’s number is a general enquiry line, not a subway lost-property desk.
For an item left on a coach, contact the bus operator on the ticket and provide the route, date, departure time and seat. For a train item, tell station staff promptly. Check the police lost-property portal as well. Overseas, replace the leading 0 of an 02 number with +82; English support is not guaranteed.
