Choose the attraction before choosing the exit

Open the destination, not just “Lotte,” in your map: Adventure address · Tower address.
Visit Seoul lists the Exit 4 approach for the Lotte World complex and Exit 2 for Seoul Sky. These are orientation points, not promises of a stair-free route or the location of every ticket entrance. Read the entrance instructions on your own booking.
Station layout: exits, levels and elevators
Use the map for the line you arrive on. The Line 2 platform is on B2; Line 8 is on B3. Follow the transfer signs between them, and locate the lift symbols before choosing an exit with luggage.

These are the maps in Seoul Metro’s 2026-08-24 release, not a live floor plan. “You are here” marks the original sign location, not your phone. Printed train times and phone numbers may be older; use current operator information and follow station signs. In an emergency, follow staff instructions.
Adventure, the mall and the tower are not one entrance
“Meet at Lotte World” is too vague here. The theme park, shopping mall and observatory share a familiar name but are separate destinations. Send your companion the full attraction name and a specific entrance or shop. If your booking is for the aquarium, search for the aquarium itself rather than using the theme-park address.
Before walking through a mall, check whether you need a ticket exchange, a timed-entry queue or an ordinary entrance. The station exit gets you to the right side of the area; it does not replace those admission instructions.
Changing between Lines 2 and 8
Jamsil / 잠실역 connects the green Line 2 and pink Line 8. Follow the numbered line signs while transferring, rather than signs for the bus transfer centre or a shopping exit. Check the next station and train destination at the platform, especially before boarding Line 2 in the wrong direction around the loop.
Jamsilsaenae / 잠실새내 and Jamsillaru / 잠실나루 are different stations. For an event, use the venue’s own access instructions: a ticket saying “Jamsil” in the venue name is not enough to choose your stop.
Strollers, luggage and the way back
With a stroller or a heavy suitcase, identify the lift symbol on the concourse map before taking the first escalator. Show staff 엘리베이터로 나가고 싶어요 (“I would like to exit by elevator”) and your destination. An elevator exit may place you farther from the attraction than the numbered exit suggested above.
If you use a locker, photograph its number and location, and check collection hours and bag size before paying. Do not build your day around an assumed empty locker. Keep a hotel-storage alternative, particularly when returning after a late visit.
Lost property: Line 2 and Line 8 use different centres

The operator’s centre list gives weekday hours of 09:00–18:00, excluding public holidays. Report a just-lost item to station staff first; it may not have reached a centre. Give the line, direction, time and carriage position. Something left inside an attraction should be reported to that attraction, not automatically to the subway centre.
Search registered items through the police portal. Overseas, a Seoul 02 number becomes +82-2; language support varies.
Before returning to your hotel
Save the accommodation’s Korean address and check the last usable connection for the whole trip—not only the last departure from Jamsil. The NAVER Map guide helps with route setup. Continuing to Gangnam? It is also on Line 2, but choose the platform by direction before boarding.
