Editorial review on 16 October 2026: the map links respond, but current opening hours, prices and visit policies could not be independently reconfirmed. The operating details below remain the editor’s report from 11 September 2026, not a fresh confirmation from the restaurant.

Finding the second-floor restaurant from Lines 2 and 9

Save 허브족발 and 서울 영등포구 당산로 232 2층 허브족발. The English address is 2F, 232 Dangsan-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. The floor matters: do not stop searching just because the ground-floor business has a different sign.

Use the supplied Google Maps place link to save the restaurant and the Naver Map listing to check the route from your actual position. Look for the Korean business name at the destination. We have not verified a specific station exit or walking time, so follow the current route rather than an assumed exit number.

If you are still setting up navigation for your trip, our Korea map-app guide explains the available options.

What is jokbal, and what is in the second photo?

Jokbal is Korean braised pig’s trotters, served here in slices with skin and meat visible on the platter. It is not grilled pork belly or beef offal. The Korea Tourism Organization’s jokbal introduction describes the dish’s braised preparation and characteristic chewy texture; it does not describe this restaurant’s particular recipe.

The second photo was identified by the contributor as bibim guksu (비빔국수). Use that name when asking about the pictured noodles. A photograph cannot tell you the exact noodle ingredients, how spicy the sauce is, or whether the bowl is a separate order. Show staff the photo and ask before choosing a portion.

Korean to recognize What to ask about
족발 The pork dish shown in the first photograph
비빔국수 The noodles shown in the second photograph
소 / 중 / 대 Small / medium / large, if the current menu uses these sizes
추가 An extra or additional order; check its price

Jokbal is a pork dish, so it is not a suitable choice if you avoid pork. For other dietary needs, ask about sauces and side dishes separately rather than assuming the whole meal has the same ingredients.

Useful questions before ordering

Start with your group size and ask which portion fits. The platter in a photograph is not a reliable serving-size guide, and the noodle bowl should not be assumed to be free or automatically included.

Read the spaced chunks slowly; “/” marks a short pause. This is an approximate speaking aid, not exact phonetic notation. Following Korean romanization, eo is one vowel (어), and eu is one vowel (으), not two separate letters to read aloud. If you are not understood, show the Korean sentence.

Change the number of people to match your party. If the answer is unclear, use a translation app and confirm the total before ordering, rather than treating a translated menu name as confirmation of the portion or price.

A different kind of pork dinner in Dangsan

Herb Jokbal (허브족발) is the next reader-recommended stop on our Seoul Local Eats board. The supplied address is 232 Dangsan-ro, second floor, in Yeongdeungpo, near Dangsan Station on Lines 2 and 9. If your Korea food itinerary has focused on barbecue so far, this is an introduction to a different pork dish: jokbal.

The two photographs supplied for this article show jokbal first, then bibim guksu. They help you recognize the dishes before ordering; they are not a current price list or a promise that the same side dishes come with every order. This guide is based on the recommendation and supplied photographs, not an invented firsthand tasting visit.

Check the visit details, then plan your evening

Cards and cash are accepted, and reservations are not available. Waiting is described as moderate. The actual queue varies by day and time; no wait in minutes has been confirmed. These conditions were supplied by the editor on 11 September 2026, not measured live. General card acceptance does not confirm every foreign-issued card or network.

Opening hours and prices still need checking on the current listing or with the restaurant. A requirement for the entire party to arrive before entry has not been confirmed for Herb Jokbal; do not assume the other Dangsan restaurant’s seating rule applies here.

For another dish near the same station, see Dangsan Yetnal Gopchang on Lines 2 and 9. That article covers beef offal, while this one introduces jokbal. Choose by what your group wants to eat, not by treating the two as interchangeable Korean BBQ meals. More neighborhood recommendations are collected on the Local Eats board.
